learning and practice in 1975. Not only trained by one
of the prodigious TCM universities in China, she also
gained her knowledge in TCM from private practioners.
She served as Attending Physician in a TCM hospital
in China, later was pointed as Physician-in-Charge for
the hospital's In-Patient Department. She has seen thousands
of patients since she came to the United State through
teaching clinics or private practice.
Combination
of Acupuncture and Herb Medicine
Through
its over 5000-year history, TCM is applied in the combination
of acupuncture and herb medicine. It is the combination
that makes TCM effective and vital. Herb medicine treats
different aspects of a disease that acupuncture is not
effective. Even in today's TCM hospitals in China, acupuncture
is almost inclusively combined with herb prescription.
In the United States, combining acupuncture with herb
medicine is even more important since there is no TCM
hospital that a patients can be treated daily.
An expert in Chinese herb medicine, Dr. Xiao has been
teaching Chinese Herbology for many years. She helped
establishing herb program and pharmacies in many institutions.
Herbal prescription is common in our clinic through
our well-stocked, quality-controlled Herb Center.
Work
with Patient's Doctor
Dr. Xiao had many years of training in Western Medicine
in China as well as in the US. She also practiced Western
Medicine as a physician when she was in China. The training
and experience makes her easily communicating and working
with a patient's doctor. In fact, many of our patients
are directly referred by local clinics and hospitals.
Continuously
Adapting New Methods
Dr. Xiao has been teaching Acupuncture and TCM over
20 years. As a scholar in TCM, she continuously adapts
new ideas and methods into her practice to treat complicated
conditions. Because of her success, she has been frequently
consulted and referred by many medical doctors and TCM
practioners for treating unusual cases.
