Herbal Medicine Used in K.J. Clinic
There are three types of herbs commonly used by herbal practitioners
in a TCM clinic.
Raw Herbs
Row herbs are the traditional Chinese way to prepare herbal teas.
Its formula is customized according to the needs of a particular
patient at a given time. They can be immediately perceived by
patients with results typically better than other types. Even
though time-consuming in preparing and strong tastes, they are
still the best way for herbal treatment. Actually, the time used
for preparing herbal teas is considered the part of healing process.
At K.J. Clinic, we carefully select bulk herbs from companies
such as Spring Wind that provide raw herbs with uncompromising
purity and quality:
• Herbs are carefully inspected for correct genus, species,
and plant parts.
• Herbs are carefully treated and examed to make sure no
pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides exist.
• Certified organic herbs are available - grown without
the use of chemical fertilizers.
Herbal Granules
Concentrated herbal granules are the result of modern lifestyle.
Prepared from row materials, herbal granules dissolve in hot water
and can be drunk immediately (like instant coffee). With a great
convenience but still exceptional effectiveness, herbal granules
have been widely used in today’s TCM clinics, particularly
those in the United States.
The herbal granule products we chosen are manufactured by Guangdong
Yifang Pharmaceutical Corporation in China and distributed by
HEALTH SOURCE PRODUCTS, INC. in the United States.
Herbal Pills
Herbal pills are made by herbal powders. Their absorption is typically
slower than herbal teas therefore can extend the treatment for
a relatively long time, which are ideal for dealing with chronic
problems. One of the important facts about herbal pills is that
most of their formulas are based on traditional ingredients that
have shown clinic effectiveness through hundreds or even thousands
of years TCM practice.
Based on our experience, herbal pills from Mayway’s Plum
Flower and Min Shan provide the best quality.
