Can TCM Help My Skin Problem?

I have thought about seeking Acupuncture treatment for a while, though I am not sure if it could help my situation even after reading about what this treatment can help with.
I am currently getting treatment from my dermatologist for a skin outbreak that initially effects the soles of my feet, then inside of arms, back of knees, and hands. This is a condition that been chronic starting when I was a teenager. My dermatologist has given me medicine and an ointment and it's helping but its like my body cannot get completely cleared up.

My job has been stressful overly, so I think the stress from work is compounded my healing. During these irritations my skin becomes highly itchy and when sweating usually makes the condition worse. My skin issues are not transferable, but within my system. This is why I am curious about the benefits if any Acupuncture could provide in balancing my body and the energy within me.

Can your services, or the procedures of acupuncture help my situation with my skin? Or stick with the skin doctor and medicines everytime I have an irritation and outbreak?

The case that you described seemed like Neurodermatitis. Skin problems in some cases are similar as Psoriasis or Eczema. However, Neurodermatitis is more related with emotional stress.

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine can bring nourishment and healing power to a patient's skin to heal skin illnesses. In addition, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine have demonstrated great effectiveness in dealing with emotional issues through relaxation.
