Sweat - Abnormal Vaginal Discharge Problem
Hi Kejian, how
are you? I was wondering if you could give me some advices on this
case:
A 30-year-old
female with complains of excessive sweating (mostly feet and underarms)
for 10 years. No strong odor to the sweat. It is worst during the
day, and mostly stops between about 8pm - 8am. She also tends toward
anxiety, has a high-stress job, hair loss (also for 10 years), constant
runny nose, lots of vaginal discharge that is usually odorless,
history of frequent / irregular uterine bleeding (now on the medication),
2-3 bowel movements per day that are slightly loose with a little
undigested food, pale complexion with rosacea, slightly breathy
voice, tongue is pale purple with a thin white coat and lots of
small center cracks, pulse is deep, thin, and a little wiry on the
left. Since the started treatment, she is having 1-2 bowel movements
per day, less undigested food in stools, slightly less discharge,
and the tongue has been looking better.

Your description suggests that this patient suffers from spontaneous
sweating, caused by Heart and Kidney Yang Qi vacuity indicated by
the location and time of sweating, especially the large amount of
odorless vaginal discharge. Many patients have not recognized that
abnormality of vaginal discharge is a disease that commonly appears.
It could be the original source of other clinical symptoms causing
them to seek doctors. Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that it
is the Kidney and Heart Yang Qi deficiency that resulted in their
inability of stabilizing their body fluids, since sweat fluid is controlled
by Heart Yang Qi, and vaginal discharge is controlled by Kidney Yang
Qi. Therefore, in additional to Acupuncture, I suggest you using modified
Nei Bu Wan to warm up the Yang, nourish the Kidney, and stabilize
and eventually stop the deficiency.
We can discuss the fomula
in more details if needed.
Good luck and keep me
update for this case.
Kejian
